Sansome acquired a 63 property portfolio of Brinker Restaurants in 15 states in 2016. This was a surplus asset in Baton Rouge that was vacated following a renewal of a number of other operating stores by Brinker. Sansome leased the restaurant to a six (6) store regional family dining crab pot concept called The Fiery Crab. Fiery Crab has operated successfully under a long-term lease in the building since 2020 and recently agreed to purchase the building. Fiery Crab financed the purchase with the Chase Bank SBA program.
Andy’s Frozen Custard
Sansome acquired the property in 2019 with a short term lease with Jack in the Box. Sansome leased the Land to a large franchisee of Andy’s Frozen Custard. Andy’s is actively expanding in the South Carolina Market and has signed a long term lease to construct a new prototype Andy’s Frozen custard building commencing construction in September, 2021. Andy’s plans to open the new Restaurant operations in Spring 2022.
